HOW TO GET THERE:

BY AIR
To get to Finca los Tigres, you fly directly into Almeria Airport (LEI) The nearest alternatives are Murcia Airport, 2 hrs, or Granada, 2.5 hrs. Malaga is 4 hrs away and Alicante about the same. Easyjet and
Ryanair both operate routes into Almeria as do Monarch, Air Berlin and various charter airlines. Please check individual timetables as summer and winter rosters vary wildly!

BY SEA
Instead of flying, you may want to cross by ferry from the UK into Bilbao and drive the scenic roads down to Almeria province (allow 2 or 3 days and stay in the picturesque state-owned hotels called Paradores de Espana).
There is a Ferry Port in Almeria, serving Morocco and Melilla in North Africa

BY CAR
Agua Amarga and the province of Almeria are not well served by public transport. We recommend you rent a car with Goldcar Rental who have a desk within the Almeria Airport.


DIRECTIONS TO FINCA LOS TIGRES
 
From the Almeria International Airport, take the Autovia del Mediterraneo in the direction Murcia. Please note: The first roundabout you come to shows the old, slow road to Murcia. Drive on underneath an underpass and cross over a big roundabout with an Indalo sign in the middle of it.

The Indalo sign, which you will see everywhere you go in the province of Almería. It is a neolithic figure, a totem to drive away storms, and you will often see it painted to the front of houses. The indalo has also been adopted as the symbol of the City of Almería
 
 
This road leads directly to the Autovia del Mediterraneo. (Should you accidentally have taken the first exit, the road will finally hook up with the Autovia but it will take more time.) On the Autovia, take Exit 494, signposted Carboneras N-341. On this road, take the exit signposted Agua Amarga 5 Km. This road will take you directly into Agua Amarga. About 2 Km before the village there is a sign showing La Joya. Soon after that, a warning sign "Travesia Peligrosa" and immediately after that, you will see a narrow, white-paved road to the right with a number of signs: Finca Los Tigres, Hipica Aguamarga, Lajoyadecabodegata. Follow this road , bearing left at a fork in the road. Drive past Charo’s Houses and a car port. To the right , a driveway leads up to Finca Los TIGRES.
